Study Travel Writing with a Pro-from the Comfort of Your Home, Office, orAnywhere in the World

Learn how to turn travel experiences into publishable features for newspapers and magazines. UCLA Extension's Travel Writing (Online) offers information on research methods, sources, markets, recordkeeping, and other aspects of the travel writing trade. You'll practice writing queries, features, and columns, and get individual editorial and marketing suggestions on your work.

Travel Writing (Online) is taught by Peat O'Neil, former Washington Post staffer, freelance writer, editor, and author of Travel Writing: See the World, Sell the Story. This course begins April 17 and should fill fast.

Whether you're a beginning travel writer or an experienced professional, Travel Writing (Online) can help you take your writing to the next level, in the comfort and convenience of your home or office. You can even study while you travel, connecting to the class via the Internet from wherever you are in the world.

Our online journalism courses provide the same high-quality education you've come to expect from UCLA Extension, with the added benefit of studying at your convenience. Our instructors are specially trained in online instruction, and we limit enrolment, so you get personal attention and feedback from your instructor, as well as interaction with students all over the world.

Other journalism and public relations courses offered online this spring include Writingthe Feature Article and Publicity Writing: Effective Media Placement. Courses run from mid-April through mid-June and enrolment is already underway.
